Mirfee Klein Ungier, M.D.
Mirfee Klein Ungier, M.D. is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who has been in practice on the west side of Cleveland since 1984. She is a graduate of Shaker Heights High School, the University of Michigan and Case Western Reserve Medical School. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Cleveland.
Dr. Ungier was a pioneer in using eyedrops as anesthesia for cataract surgery. She has years of experience treating diseases of the eye including glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration and eye infections.
Dr. Ungier served as chair person of the Continuing Education program at Deaconess Hospital where she also served as Chief of Staff. She has chaired the Women in Medicine Task Force at the Cleveland Academy of Medicine and has served as a Member of the Case Western Reserve University Medical School Alumni Board, and the Montefiore and Cleveland Hillel Foundations.

Dr. Ungier lives in Pepper Pike with her husband Joshua. Her 2 children Nicole and Gabriel live nearby with their spouses and children who give her great joy. When not working, she attends Cleveland Orchestra concerts, plays piano, tennis and golf.
